The North Wales Association is attempting to ring 60 quarter peals during 2012 to celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen‘s accession to the throne.

North Wales Ringer Carries the Olympic Torch The London Olympics start on 27th July and during the previous two months the Olympic Torch will be carried around Britain. The torch relay starts at Land?s End on 19th May and will come along the North Wales Coast on Tuesday 29th May and from Chester through Wrexham and Welshpool on Wednesday 30th May. The exact route and timings are now available on www.london2012.com/olympic-torch-relay-map About eight thousand inspirational people will carry it round the country and one of them is a member of the North Wales Association of Church Bell Ringers. Gemma Smith is eighteen and lives in Holt. She learned to ring at St Chad‘s, Holt when she was ten and has been a regular member of the band ever since.
